Many Apps

The app you built will be on your phone.

Many Apps will be the launcher for everything you make here. Your agent creates the project, ships it to a URL and gives it a name — and it will turn up on your home screen, as if you had installed it. It is not in the App Store yet.

Three calls, and it will be on your home screen. You will never have to go and put it there.

create_project
A database and a bucket of its own, in about six seconds.
deploy_site
The front end goes live — and that first deploy fills in the app URL.
set_app_url
Renames it, or points it somewhere else. A chosen address is yours to confirm.

● you did not open a dashboard to put it there

On the Manybases side, every link in that chain already exists. Deploying the front end is what fills in the app’s address, with no gesture from you. Point it somewhere else and that becomes your call rather than your agent’s: changing an app’s address redirects everybody already using it, so a chosen one arrives through a signed-in human and a confirmation.

You will open Many Apps, sign in with the account you already have, and your apps will be there — each one full screen, with its own icon and its own name.

A browser, not a store. You will only ever see the apps you added yourself.

Many Apps will open the web apps on your account and nothing else. There will be no catalogue, no directory, nothing to submit and nothing to discover — the apps in your gallery will be the ones you put there. Any HTTPS address will work, whether it runs on Manybases or somewhere else entirely, and links that point away from an app will open in your normal browser.

What it will not do.On purpose, and worth knowing before you build on it.

  • No push notifications. An app you open will be a page, and a page you close is closed.

  • Adding an app will happen on the web — from the dashboard, or from your agent. That is where the project already lives, and where the confirmation belongs.

  • Your apps stay where you host them. Many Apps will open them; it will never stand between your app and the people using it.

Questions. What it is, and who needs it.

No. It will be a browser dedicated to the web apps you already have. You will only ever see your own, and you will have added every one of them yourself — there will be no catalogue, nothing to submit and nothing to discover.

No. Your app is a website: it works in Safari, in Chrome, on a laptop and on anyone’s phone. Many Apps will be for you — it will put the apps you use every day one tap away.

No. It will come with any Manybases account, on any plan, and it will never take a cut of anything that happens inside one of your apps.

Next. The parts this one leans on.
